OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE: To start off, you’ll have either a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent!) You’ll have 3-5+ years in a design and manufacturing environment with 2-3+ years in direct-related controls design and programming. You’ll geek out as you’ll be able to use your PLC and HMI programming with multiple platforms, including Siemens and Allen-Bradley. You’ll understand electrical schematics and panel layouts, specifically with AutoCAD or something similar. Plus, you’ll know how to use multi-meter and other measuring equipment. The “cherry on top” is having experience with camera programming (Cognex and Keyence), robot programming (FANUC and cobots), safety controllers design and programming, and pneumatic and hydraulic design.

- Supporting the Advanced Manufacturing Engineers and working with Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams to provide design for automation (DFT) criteria
- Developing procedures, work instructions, and troubleshooting guidelines for manufacturing engineers and associates
- Providing critical project leadership, training, and support for automation equipment implementations
- Sharing knowledge and training Automation and Manufacturing Engineers on how to solve more complex processing problems or improvement solutions
You will INNOVATE by:
- Investigating and developing new manufacturing and automation processes for new products that are cost justifiable
- Designing and building specialized equipment and systems that meets safety, quality, delivery, and sustainability targets
- Providing recommendations for capital improvement projects that are cost justifiable
- Troubleshooting, training, and providing general support for robots & PLC based equipment that manufacturing engineering does not have the technical experience or expertise on
You will PERFORM by:
- Evaluating and solving production-processing related problems utilizing equipment, tooling, fixturing, and/or automaton experience
- Planning, scheduling, and implementing capital improvement projects on time while meeting project metrics
- Defining critical project criteria to ensure project completion
- Providing Quality RMA support to resolve quality related issues with equipment and/or technology
