Job Description
Key Role:
Work in tandem with the software development team to analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities. Translate detailed design into application systems. Lead team of Data Testers through the process of automated testing and hardening data pipelines that ingest, transform, aggregate and prepare data for enterprise analytic, data science and operational reporting. Design test plans and implement test cases to validate the functionality of data pipelines and SQL queries. Lead and conduct thorough data automation testing within engineering pipeline to ensure the accuracy, quality and integrity of datasets.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with leading testing as part of an agile team that works in tightly coordinated sprints
Experience with automating ETL testing processes to improve efficiency and reusability
Experience with developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate ETL processes
Experience verifying data completeness, correctness, and consistency through data profiling and business rules analysis
Experience performing regression testing to ensure updates to ETL processes
Experience collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and key stakeholders to communicate test results
Experience with SQL and relational database
Experience with ETL testing tools and frameworks
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies in data testing and engineering pipeline processes
Ability to develop and execute SQL queries for comprehensive data testing, identifying anomalies and discrepancies
Ability to document test results, anomalies, and provide detailed reports to facilitate effective communication within the development team
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate data transformations and integration processes
Ability to support troubleshooting and debugging of issues related to data quality, pipeline failures, and SQL query performance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
