Position Overview:
Join our clients team as an Automation Controls Tech on 2nd or 3rd shift, reporting directly to the Technical Services Supervisor. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our production equipment. If you are passionate about troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing electronic systems, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment from an electrical standpoint using schematics, meters, PLC info, and robot programs.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot programs for robots, presses, lasers, and other electronic systems.
- Understand and interpret complex electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Work directly with engineering and manufacturing for the professional installation of new equipment or the movement and re-installment of existing equipment.
- Install and maintain equipment according to OSHA and our clients' safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering to develop and modify Robot and PLC programs associated with the manufacturing of new or existing equipment.
- Report daily activities to the supervisor to ensure accurate records are maintained in the asset maintenance system.
- Make recommendations to continuously improve processes and equipment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- 2-5+ years or more relevant experience.
- Associate's Degree in electronics required.
Preferences:
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems.
- Strong ability to understand and interpret complex electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and modifying Robot and PLC programs.
- Previous experience working in manufacturing settings.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
