We are looking for an Automatic Door Repair and Install Technician to join our HTX branch.
Up to $27/HR

Our technicians repair, maintain, and Install doors on location in commercial buildings, hospitals, stores, and more. We’re looking for someone with a background in residential or commercial doors, garage doors, construction, military, electrical work, fabrication, access control, glazing, carpentry, mechanical, installing or servicing products, or any other skilled trade. Piedmont Door Solutions provides the necessary training, tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain doors, turnstiles, revolving doors, and other entrance or security products
- Identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services to solve potential issues
- Meet with customers onsite to review work before and after services
- Work with office staff to order and track parts, materials, and time spent on services
- Complete dispatches, work orders, service, and Installation requests accurately and on time
- Track and maintain job-related paperwork
- Submit paperwork to office staff in a timely manner – often via company-issued phone
- Manage parts and materials on your company-issued vehicle – repairs do not need to be completed by technicians
- Maintain a professional attitude in a safe working environment with a clean job site
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in one or more of these fields: construction, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, military, mechanical, or similar
- Comfortable using power tools and hand tools – professionally or personally
- Mechanically-minded with a desire to continue learning
- Ready to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques
- Willing and able to work overtime with the possibility of weekends, as necessary
- Ability to stand, bend, and/or climb for long periods of time in a non-climate-controlled environment; lift 75+ pounds; work at heights/use a ladder
- Familiar with basic computer skills, operating phone applications, and general communication via phone/email/messengers/text
- High school diploma/GED
- Unrestricted and valid US driver's license with a clean driving record
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screen
Preferred (Not Required):
- 2+ years of experience in one or more of these fields: construction, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, military, mechanical, or similar
- 1+ years of customer service/interaction experience
- Skilled understanding of mechanical, electrical systems, or wiring
- 1+ years using power tools and hand tools in a professional setting
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Organized, with a strong attention to detail
- Familiar with workflow within a construction job site or similar environment
