The Functional Automation Analyst is an individual contributor role that leads the functional aspects of the automation within the Laboratory Pre-Analytical Services group (LPS).

**First Shift Hybrid Work Schedule**

Roles & Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for detailed decisions required during the LPS automation project(s) and for coordinating actions/decisions with management.
• Provide daily support to the project(s) to address process questions/decisions required to execute the project.
• Collaborate with internal project stakeholders and vendors for needs analysis and requirements.
• Support global business integration by designing standardized processes for automated and manual setup.
• Understand and communicate applicable regulatory requirements for implementation of an automated pre-analytical system.
• Document user requirements based on current and future processes/systems.
• Participate in the development of system design specifications.
• Facilitate and lead team(s) collaborating on workflows. Lead workshops, interviews, surveys and data mining activities.
• Evaluate impact of design proposals to the business processes and core internal customers, make recommendations to the team and management.
• Work with users globally to ensure the project meets business needs.
• Review and provide feedback to vendor(s) on system designs to ensure process needs are met.
• Executes the Factory Acceptance Test(FAT), Site Acceptance Test(SAT) and User Acceptance Test(UAT) for their area of expertise.
• Develops training programs and SOPs for users of the automated system.
• Participate on implementation/transition plan development.

Automation Subject Matter Expert:

• Pro-Actively monitor new and/or existing projects and communicate with
• management and Project management Teams (including database set-up) on issues.
• Identify pro-actively non-routine issues and provides direction for resolution.
• Must have Zavacor Experience

Automation Mentor/Trainer:

• Provide on the spot training, as needed.
• Provide guidance and best practices for SM services.
• Provide input on SOP's, policies, NSSO's… as needed.

• Process Improvements: Liaise with internal and global groups to identify opportunities to improve processes within designated area.
• Identify processing points that could be enhanced through automation.
• Identify areas that could be enhanced through alignment of global best practices.

• Monitor the success of automation systems. Establishing error tracking mechanism and/or Key Performance Metrics.
• Assist and support management in the development and implementation of global processes and procedures, and performance metrics.
• Ensure new processes are developed and monitored.
• Track, monitor, and report metrics in the agreed upon timelines.

• Extrapolate data to provide Key Performance Metrics(as needed).
• Assist in the monitoring and the providing of responses to inquiries in the LPS Management Inbox(as needed).
• Assist in the research of quality events that are assigned to the functional area(as needed).
