SalaryCountry Pines Retirement Community is looking to add someone to our housekeeping team to help with our daily laundry services. This person will work 3 days a week on the day shift to ensure resident laundry is properly cleaned, folded and put away.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor washing and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
- Pick up dirty laundry from resident rooms
- Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, or rewash.
- Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from the washer, dryer, or dry cleaning machines and place in clean linen carts.
- Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in load.
- Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain trap after each load.
- Fold cleaned articles into designated size, either by hand or using folding machine. Maintain accurate records of items laundered.
- Deliver and put away clean, folded laundry back to the appropriate resident rooms.
