Position: Parts Counter and Scale Customer Service Associate
Location: Neenah, Wisconsin

Gibson Iron & Metal is a well-established salvage yard that specializes in buying scrap metal and selling used car parts. We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Counter Associate.
This full-time position offers a competitive compensation package, including 401k and health insurance benefits.
Position Overview:
As a Counter Associate, you will play a pivotal role in our business, working on both sides of our operation: the scrap counter and the parts counter. Your responsibilities will include:
Scrap Counter Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers who bring in scrap metal. Provide excellent Customer Service and answer any questions they may have.
- Weighing and Payment: Weigh and assess the value of scrap metal brought in by customers. Accurately calculate and process payments.
- Scale Operation: Operate the scale to weigh vehicles and ensure accurate measurements for scrap metal transactions.
- Purchasing Junk Vehicles: Quote prices for vehicles both in person and over the phone. Run VIN number to check for liens. Fill out the proper paperwork and receipts when purchasing a vehicle.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Clean and maintain a cleanly office environment. Including but not limited to sweeping, moping, dusting, disinfecting, etc.
Parts Counter Responsibilities:
- Customer Assistance: Assist customers in finding the used car parts they need. Offer guidance and recommendations when necessary.
- Order Processing: Efficiently handle customer transactions using our cash register system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory, restock shelves, and maintain a well-organized parts counter area.
- Parts Search: Search the yard for requested parts using company vehicle. Take detailed notes on availability and condition.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Clean and maintain a cleanly office environment. Including but not limited to sweeping, moping, dusting, disinfecting, etc.
Qualifications:
· Excellent Customer Service skills and a friendly demeanor.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Basic math skills for weighing and calculating payments.
· Ability to operate a cash register.
· Attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Experience in the automotive or scrap metal industry is a plus but not required.

Schedule
8am-4pm Monday- Wednesday, OFF THURSDAY, 8am-4pm Friday, 8am-3pm Saturday, CLOSED SUNDAY.
