- PAID TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS
The Technician is responsible for fixing a vehicle after it’s been damaged.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience repairing vehicles/trucks/heavy equipment
- Replacing and repairing bolt-on and weld-on panels
- Knowledge of structural or replacement repairs, airbag replacement, and mechanical work
- Knowledge of OEM proper repair procedures and where to locate the procedures to achieve a proper repair
- Car O Liner experience with Vision and EVO holding systems 1,2,3. a plus.
- Ability to work with MAG/MIG and Resistance welders
- Ability to repair/replace Aluminum
- Meet or exceed the company’s requirements for tech efficiency, cycle time (to keep vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery), and return rate
- Work and communicate with the production manager and estimators on the vehicle repair status, including supplements
- Utilize all required safety equipment, follows proper repair procedures, and adhere to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal
- Keep personal work area organized and clean, return tools, and maintain parts/materials carts in an organized manner
Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:
- ICAR, ASE, and OEM training are preferred but not required
- Certification in electronic measuring
- HS Diploma or GED, Auto Body Vo-Tech certification strongly preferred
- Must provide have your own tools
- Complies with the manufacturer's safety guidelines and standards
- Ability to effectively communicate with others
- Ability to read and understand basic instructions, written estimates, and work orders
- Attention to detail, ability to operate in a team setting, positive attitude to mentor/build a team
- Ability to produce in a performance-driven environment
- Must be willing to submit to background screening
- Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, and pull.
- Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to complete or inspect repairs
- Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 80lbs)
- Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipment
- Standing, sitting, and walking
- Performing repetitive motions
