Job Description
Responsibilities for ABA therapist:
- Deliver 1:1 therapy to patients with autism between the ages of 1 and 6 years old - Home Based Services
- Monitor patient behavior and apply ABA principles
- Respond appropriately to different situations common among patients with autism and others with behavioral and developmental challenges
- Utilize key communication skills to provide effective feedback to patients and caregivers
- Effectively communicate positive feedback to patients and caregivers
- Be able to recognize and respond to critical improvements in patient behaviors.
- Become familiar with and use behavioral redirection techniques
- Know how to respond to challenging behaviors appropriately
- Take accurate and timely data collection
- Maintain procedural integrity
- Provide written documentation on each patient immediately following every session
- Maintain and manage patients and clearly communicate and collaborate with the supervising BCBA weekly.
- Assist in making materials for individual clients
- Effectively manage a role within the center and complete the role during scheduled office time (i.e. arts and crafts development, circle time, etc.)
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized center and/or materials in home based setting
- Participate in monthly team meetings on Wednesdays, 4:15-5:15
- Follow the prescribed treatment plan as written by the BCBA and collect accurate data electronically
- Maintain complete confidentiality of all patients at all times
- Accept constructive feedback and actively works to improve skills
- Willingness and ability to work with all patients at Foundation Lane as needed
- Maintain professionalism when interacting with parents and any outside providers
- Maintain professionalism and collaborate with all Foundation Lane staff members
- Report directly to Supervising BCBAs at Foundation Lane

Qualifications for ABA Therapist:
- High school diploma
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field of study
- Preferred Registered Behavior Technician certificate from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- If you are not certified we will certify you
- 1-5 years of experience required for entry-level positions
- Strong communication skills required
- Ability to work under high-stress situations
- Exhibits significant reliable habits, including timeliness and organizational skills
- Proven experience working with toddler and pre-school aged children
- Additional evidence of successful work with autism and/or developmental disabilities
- Other experience, certificates, or qualifications as required by state
- Ability to move throughout the center with ease, including sitting on the floor, sitting at child-sized tables, and going for walks.
