Authorizations/Procedure Scheduler

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process provider orders for procedures, injections, physical therapy etc.
• This position will be responsible for scheduling all patients for procedures
• Process all orders in a timely matter
• Authorizations Coordinator is responsible for obtaining patients authorizations for procedures.
• The individual must contact patients and orchestrate any pre-operative testing that needs to be done

REQUIREMENTS:

• Computer Knowledge A MUST.
• Familiar with HMO and PPO plans.
• Must have previous experience in scheduling insurance covered surgeries
• Must have a neat appearance and be friendly, courteous, patient and tactful with patients and patient families
• Ability to communicate effectively and relate well with patients, physicians, office staff, vendors and outside practice advisors
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability independently and as a team member
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
