Summary of Department

At Aumni, our Product team is reimagining venture portfolio management and investment operations as a streamlined digital experience by empowering our customers with the legal and financial data they need to make faster, smarter decisions. We’re looking for a talented product manager who wants to dive in early, contribute to strategy and drive the product development lifecycle from discovery, validation, to delivery.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Associate at Aumni, you will be working closely with a cross functional team of designers, engineers, customer success managers, sales, and marketing leads to deliver customer-centric product experiences. You will own the development of customer facing products as well as internal systems to support our operations. You will also play a pivotal role in product strategy and road mapping alongside the rest of our team.

How You’ll Help Us Win:

  • Be a data-driven strategic leader across the organization
  • Understand and prioritize customer needs, develop and test new ideas, and turn them into effective solutions with strong product sense and attention to detail
  • Synthesize research and use data to drive identification and prioritization of product initiatives including market research, user research, competitor analysis, product analytics, and customer feedback.
  • Guide the team through the entire product development lifecycle, from customer discovery, road mapping through backlog prioritization, scoping, concept design, experimentation, and delivery
  • Collaborate and communicate with other team members customers, stakeholders, designers, engineers, and other PMs to constantly request and iterate on feedback
  • Gain a deep understanding of Venture Capital and Private Markets to advise on roadmap strategy, prioritization, and overall company direction, leveraging customer insight and domain expertise as guiding factors
  • Help maintain our product development processes and champion new efficiencies as an advocate for scalability of the team
  • Independently explore and propose concepts and prototypes for other areas of improvement in the app
  • Organize and conduct regular customers discovery calls
  • Synthesize customer research effectively to identify product opportunities
  • Become an expert in understanding the various customer personas at Aumni

What You’ll Need:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager or a similar product focused role
  • Experience in and an understanding of agile development methodologies
  • Very strong product management ground game including managing a backlog, writing user stories, communicating product requirements to engineers
  • A customer-centric mindset
  • Experience with journey mapping and customer experience mapping
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, team members, and the executive leadership
  • Understanding of common design tools like Figma and Zeplin, and the ability to communicate low fidelity ideas using them (check out our stack)
  • Experience running discovery and user research sessions and interacting with users to validate ideas and design direction
  • Experience leading product experiments
