Certified Public Accountant/Audit Staff

Salary: $32.00 to $38.00 /hr

A Certified Public Accounting Firm is seeking a part-time Certified Public Accountant to support the CPA in Audits, Accounting and Tax Functions.

Position Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

• Establish rapport with clients to build working relationships and increase retention
• Provide exceptional client service.
• Assisting in the audit of selected financial statement accounts
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, note disclosures and management letters.
• Preparation of tax returns and Form 990 (tax-exempt organizations)
• Comply with record retention policies, client confidentiality and security of client records.

· Performed GAAP and GAAS audits for not-for-profit organizations.

· Performed Uniform Guidance (A133) and other agreed-upon procedures.

· Participated in the planning and coordination of financial statement audits for public and private companies.

· Reviewed and tested control procedures for clients and advised on potential improvements.

· Manage aspects of audit engagements including budget preparation, detailed risk assessment and scoping of account balances/transactions while coordinating with clients and staff to schedule and complete audit procedures and other financial statement filings.

· Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Position Qualifications

· Must have 3 + years’ experience working in a Tax/Auditing/Accounting Firm

· 2+ years of experience required in ULTRA TAX SOFTWARE SUITE

· 2 + years previous audit experience using auditing software- Wolters Kluwer Pro FX, engagement is a plus.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Flexible hours and remote work where applicable

· Attention to detail.

· Bachelor’s degree, accounting major and have completed all sections of the CPA exam.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Position requires working in an office atmosphere assisting clients. & working remotely from time to time as situation demands
