Job description

OPPORTUNITY
The Audit Specialist will be responsible for performing selected audit procedures to assist our audit teams and help ensure accurate and timely completion of engagements. Additionally, this position will support the assurance department in administrative tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys working in a team environment and who is able to manage his/her time well.
SCOPE OF WORK
  • Work collaboratively with audit engagement team members with the preparation of select client workpapers
  • Quickly and efficiently performing selected audit program steps
  • Communicate with client to request audit information
  • Work with third party service providers to help gather audit information
  • Deliver timely and quality services that meet or exceed the expectations of the client and engagement team
  • Monitor and review engagement progress and client expectations
  • Provide assistance with market development opportunities, including research and helping to ensure timely input of appropriate information in database
  • Prepare client presentations and internal and external correspondence
  • Assist in engagement team coordination such as scheduling, staffing, tracking and sending billing invoices
  • Track and monitors engagement performance metrics, such as budget to actual costs incurred

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Minimum of two years of experience, preferably in a professional services firm
  • Associate degree from an accredited college/university in Business Administration or a related field required
  • Strong organizational and computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word, Access and Excel
  • Ability to assume and perform multiple tasks concurrently
