The Audit Manager candidate is responsible for keeping compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). They implement measures and develop policies for dealing with various areas relating to Audit Standards.
Key Objectives:
- Manage and supervise the execution of external audit and other attest engagements of various clients’ in accordance with relevant regulatory and professional auditing and assurance standards
- Prepare, analyze, and verify annual reports, financial statements, and other records, using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Maintain a working knowledge of and research findings regarding accounting literature trends and technical issues relevant to the client’s industry
- Set the culture for the engagement team and mentor staff in their career development
- Build and manage client relationships and accounts’ including driving the client experience on engagements
- You have knowledge of and exposure to a variety of industries.
- Stay aware of general business trends or issues in order to professionally represent and apply this knowledge to the client’s solutions, potentially developing new or additional business for the Firm
- Oversee engagement management’ including managing the budget’ resourcing strategy’ billing and collections
- Strong experience using audit software with CCH Axcess, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks preferred
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Required)
- CPA (Required)
- At least 7 years of experience in a CPA firm
- Able to work independently and within a team environment
- Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
- Detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing and managing time effectively
- Ability to communicate with business owners and personnel
- Review engagement work papers, resolve any problems, and keep the partner informed of all important developments in the engagement.
- Coordinates the various phases of an engagement, including Staff requirements, job planning and scheduling.
- Supervise staff accountants, provide feedback to them, and evaluate their progress.
- Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients and efficiencies within the workplace.
