Next Level AVL, a recognized leader in the audio, video, lighting and control systems industry, has an immediate job opening. The Installation Technician shall work with other members of the installation team in commercial venues and houses of worship throughout the adjacent states while working as a productive team member to meet established project design and deadlines.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Ability to follow directions given by the Supervisor(s) to ensure proper scope of work
  • Proficient in the ability to read and decipher blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools
  • Considerable skill in soldering techniques
  • Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to quickly process information, prioritize job tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience with various techniques used in pulling wire and cable
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively within a team
  • Responsible for reporting on-site risks and issues to the Lead Technician to ensure efficient resolution and comply with project time-line and budget
  • Responsible for keeping track of personal timecard including clocking in and out of the correct job assignment
  • Drive company vehicles (15 passenger vans, sometimes with trailer) as requested or needed
  • Must have clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug tests
  • Tests may be repeated during work as needed for project security clearance or as requested by customers and clients
  • Must be able to travel to job sites throughout the region with other crew members
  • Company transportation, meals and lodging provided during overnight travel
  • The ability to work from elevated heights whether on scaffold, lifts or platforms
  • The ability to lift heavy equipment without loosing balance
  • Other duties of a similar nature and level may also be assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in audio, video, and lighting installation is helpful
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively within a team
  • Basic low voltage electronic knowledge and basic construction skills
  • CTS or other certification preferred
  • Current local state driver’s license required

Physical demands and work environment:
Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, reach and push with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb and balance.

Work requires ability to perform job duties on scaffolding, ladders and at various heights as well as extensive overhead motion required in order to install equipment.

Work requires ability to lift 50 or more pounds on a daily basis and be exposed to warm and cold environments. Clean driving record, background check, and drug testing required.

Starting pay is variable based on applicant’s experience, current skill levels, and job history.
