Job Description:

Our team specializes in designing and installing high-end residential home systems. We are currently seeking a dedicated, meticulous, and enthusiastic Full-Time Lead Install Technician.

This role involves installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our customers' smart home systems based on the Control4 platform.

As the lead installer, you will implement our system designs, referencing drawings in D-Tools. You will also ensure hours are properly logged on-site each day, and report any issues related to the work.

You will lead, manage, and hold accountable our install team, ensuring work is done to our standards.

You will also handle on-site communications with clients and builders.

With a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, you will play a critical role in offering the best in home automation solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Install, program, and troubleshoot Control4 , networking, audio, video, and lighting solutions, and more. Programming experience is a plus.
• Fabricate racks, pull and terminate a variety of cables according to blueprints and drawings.
• Provide technical assistance to our clients, both remotely and on-site, ensuring optimal system performance.
• Conduct system checks and maintenance, and ensure all installations are up to the company's high standard.
• Train customers on the use of their Control4 systems, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Collaborate effectively with team members on large-scale projects, while also being capable of handling individual assignments.
• Stay current with the latest Control4 products and home automation technology trends.
• Maintain accurate records of all service calls, installations, and customer interactions.
• Safely drive our van, and ensure it is well stocked/ clean for the next work day.

You are:

• Experienced in low-voltage install for high-end residential systems.
• Experienced Control4 home automation systems with 2+ years of relevant experience. Control4 Automation Programmer certification is a plus.
• A person of integrity who takes responsibility and always seeks to do what’s best for the customer and the team.
• Meticulous about the quality of your work, taking pride in the appearance of the install, not just its functionality.
• Capable of working independently with minimal guidance, but unafraid to ask for help when needed.
• A strong verbal and written communicator, able to serve as the face of our company to our clients.
• Proficient in the use of phone apps, tablets, power tools, ladders, and data wiring.
• Able to lift and stand for long periods, get into crawl spaces, and lift 50+ pounds.
• Required to bring your own tools and have reliable transportation.

While we service the greater Austin area, we are located in Spicewood, TX and currently require daily material pickup and drop off at our headquarters.

Compensation:

Compensation ranges from $22-$37 per hour, based on experience level and abilities. This position is for a full-time 1099 contractor with potential for growth into a W2 employee with benefits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
