WHAT YOU’LL DO
The is a freelance position which supports the operation of a corporate Event Production facility and will be hired as needed. The Audio Engineer/A1 works with our internal AVI-SPL VideoLink team to assist in the execution of Event Production requirements including the operation of audio broadcast production equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the setup of control room audio boards and front of house event equipment for each production.
- Oversee the audio configuration and routing based on event needs including all inbound feeds such as microphones, virtual feeds, video playback, music and outbound feeds such as in-room speakers, recorders, and transmission.
- Appropriately manage the mix minus feeds for all sources.
- Prepare all wireless lav and handheld microphones, including the proper placement for all in-person presenters.
- Appropriately mix all audio sources during an event to ensure audio is at appropriate level for program feeds and house feed.
- Normalize all audio equipment post-event.
- Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining studio related equipment.
- Participate in event debrief to address any technical issues.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must-have skills & job qualifications
- Studio production and event experience.
- Experience with control room equipment including audio consoles, wireless lavs and handheld microphones, and intercom systems.
- Knowledge of virtual production and meeting platforms.
- Positive, customer focused and team attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required.
Nice-to-have skills
- Experience with audio production systems including Yamaha audio consoles, Dante audio routing networks, Shure microphones, and intercom systems.
- Experience with Ross production environments
- Familiarity with post-production software including Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro.
