Attrition Mill Operator

An Attrition Mill Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Attrition Mills used in the production of various materials. The operator will be responsible for ensuring that the mills are running efficiently and effectively, and that the materials being produced meet the required specifications.

• Experience in operating Attrition Mills and supporting equipment
• Knowledge of packaging finished products and supervising packaging personnel
• Ability to inspect, test, and report
• Commitment to ensuring safe and quality product production.

• Start-up and shut down of all Attrition Mill and support equipment, including pre-op inspections and procedures.
• Operation of the Attrition Mill and support equipment to produce finished products to desired customer specifications.
• Operation of the Attrition Mill equipment to run within specific in-house temperature and finished product moisture range.
• Ensure product testing procedures are being done correctly and efficiently.
• Complete required paperwork, production documentation, and proper labeling of finished products
• Test daily productions and make adjustments as needed to meet specific moisture and particle size requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience operating and maintaining Attrition Mills
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment
