Job Description and Duties:

In this role you'll play a crucial part in ensuring compliance with the legal requirements and supporting our efforts to restore contaminated lands. As an Attorney III you will have the opportunity to:

• Provide legal support on matters related to administrative, civil, and criminal enforcement actions, specifically related to the Santa Susana Field Laboratory Project
• Review inspection reports, penalty assessments, and other legal documents
• Draft administrative orders and civil complaints
• Develop and update Department enforcement policies and procedures in collaboration with other Department staff
• Review and analyze historical Department policies and procedures for present applicability

Desirable Qualifications We Look For:

• Environmental/legal subject-matter knowledge
• Applicable skills/training/experience
• CEQA experience
• PRA experience
• Public participation knowledge
• Organizational skills
