- Conduct thorough investigations of insurance claims to determine validity and potential fraud
- Gather and analyze relevant evidence, including documents, photographs, and witness statements
- Interview claimants, witnesses, and other involved parties to gather information and assess credibility
- Review policy terms and conditions to determine coverage and liability
- Document findings and prepare detailed reports on investigation results
- Collaborate with legal teams and law enforcement agencies as necessary
- Testify in court as an expert witness when required
```Skills:```
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively document findings and communicate with stakeholders
- Excellent negotiation skills to settle claims in a fair and efficient manner
- Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis for conducting thorough investigations
- Knowledge of legal research and drafting techniques to analyze case law and statutes relevant to claims investigations
- Ability to litigate claims when necessary, including drafting legal pleadings and representing the company in court proceedings
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in gathering, analyzing, and documenting evidence
- Knowledge of legal administrative procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
