Our client is in the process of implementing Jira Service Management as the standard ITSM operations platform for its Technology organization, as well as implementing changes and additions to the Jira Software Cloud and Confluence instances used by all software engineering and product teams. These efforts are expected to continue through the end of 2023.
Agile Enablement Services (AES) team is seeking a highly motivated Atlassian Administrator with extensive experience configuring and maintaining Jira Software Cloud, Jira Service Management and Confluence to assist with the implementation, integration, documentation, training and operational support of these products.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with software development and product teams and leaders to gather, organize, and prioritize requirements for enhancements to Atlassian tools suite including Jira Software, Jira Service Management and Confluence.
  • Play a leading role in the ongoing design, implementation, configuration, and delivery of Jira Service Management (JSM) across the Technology organization.
  • Create and configure Jira Service Management projects, queues, request types, workflows including approvals, SLAs, automation, notifications and reporting.
  • Create and configure Jira projects and related elements, including custom issue types, fields, workflows and screens.
  • Create advanced queries, filters, dashboards and reports to help users manage work and leverage data available within Atlassian tools.
  • Create documentation for Technology and Product teams on Atlassian tools, including articles, whitepapers, knowledgebase entries, FAQs, etc.
  • Design and facilitate demonstrations and training sessions on Atlassian tools.
  • Provide ongoing support for Atlassian tools to development teams.
  • Perform audits and other research on usage of Atlassian tools to help control costs and ensure stability and performance.
  • Research, recommend, install, and manage plugins, add-ons, and 3rd-party integrations to increase effectiveness and efficiency of Atlassian toolset.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience using Atlassian tools, including Jira Software Cloud, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience administrating and managing Jira Software Cloud and Confluence.
  • 2+ years experience with Jira Service Management administration, including Request Management, Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management. Experience working through a complete initial rollout of JSM highly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of underlying Jira structure, configuration, and permissions management.
  • Experience with Jira Advanced Roadmaps, including managing multi-level issue hierarchy and cross-project plans.
  • Extensive knowledge of the JQL language and ability to create complex queries and filters.
  • Experience configuring and managing integrations between Atlassian products and external tools like GitHub, Salesforce, Sharepoint/OneDrive, LucidChart, Slack, MS Teams, etc.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Ability to function both independently and within a team, and to engage with partners to drive initiatives to completion.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), facilitation and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Atlassian certifications preferred, e.g., Atlassian Certified Expert, ACP-MJSP, ACP-JCA, ACP-MJCP, APB-CSA.
  • Experience implementing and supporting Single Sign-on (SSO) capabilities within Atlassian products, specifically with Okta/Auth0.
  • Experience with JSM Asset Management and integrations with external asset management tools, e.g., Device42.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira plugins like Structure for Jira, Xray Test Management, and 3rd-party dashboard/reporting extensions.
  • Functional knowledge of the Jira, JSM and Confluence REST APIs.
