Physical Requirements:Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 lbs. or standing/walking for long periods of time.
Shift:Monday – Friday; 8:00 am-5:00 pm plus weekends when sport is in-season for competitions and recruiting.
Job Summary:The Assistant Athletic Trainer position will be directly responsible for the daily student-athlete health care of the Men’s & Women’s Swimming and Diving teams. Daily coverage of practices, meets, and conditioning session is required, along with team travel. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with other team(s) coverage, NCAA and Institutional drug testing, and other duties as assigned by the Executive Associate AD for Sports Medicine & Performance. Injury record keeping is also required on the EMR system (Sportsware) daily, along with ensuring proper licensure & certifications are maintained for the State of Kentucky & NATABOC. Additionally, it is required that all NCAA, SEC, and University of Kentucky rules, regulations, policies, & procedures are adhered to.

Preferred Education/Experience:Masters degree in athletic training or AT related field; NCAA Division 1 experience; Power 5 conference experience; swimming and diving healthcare coverage
