Wonderful Education is seeking an Associate Transition Coachto serve as a Scholar Advisor for a caseload of Wonderful Education high school seniors. The ideal candidate has experience in education/youth development, a tireless commitment to helping scholars achieve their goals no matter the barrier, and the ability to contribute to a fast-paced team.

 

Job Description

Wonderful Education Student Case Management:

• With the support of the Transition Coach and Manager, will support students in meeting their educational goals by working closely with them in: 
  • Meeting regularly on-site, with opportunities to do so virtually and over the phone.
  • Addressing academic challenges by providing guidance and/or referral to tutoring services.
  • Troubleshooting challenges inside and outside of the classroom through coaching, mentorship, and referrals to appropriate services including, but not limited to, counseling and student stress support.
  • Making college decisions with seniors and parents by May 1st, 2024.
• Will support the Transition team with:
  • Facilitating workshops on various topics including topics like time management and study skills.
  • Maintaining case notes and updating data for students.
  • Contacting parents regarding student-related matters.
  • Coordinating events such as study sessions.
  • Overnight college visits
• Other duties as assigned
  • May be occasionally asked to support students and events at additional sites other than primary school.
• This position requires candidates to provide in-person services to students at high schools/sites in the Fresno region. When travel is required, all eligible mileage is expensed per IRS guidelines. A valid CA driver's license is required for this position. This position will require occasional evening and weekend hours

Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred but not required
• Proficiency with computer applications
• Students in their final year of university education, preferred
• Pursuing a degree/career in education or social services role, preferred
• Background working with students in a supportive role.
• Experience working in a high school setting

Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00/hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
