Our Business Development team is looking for a strategy associate to help us scale our partnerships initiative. Our team develops partnerships across the live events value chain with sports teams, leagues, concert promoters, festival organizers, and other rights holders and venues. Our team has a flat and entrepreneurial culture, and this role will contribute across the entire lifecycle of deals – from deal design through contract negotiation and performance measurement. Our team sits within the broader External Affairs group, which leads all of StubHub’s external-facing efforts, including Government Relations and Public Relations. The role is highly cross-functional with efforts spanning the entire business (e.g., Product, Supply, Operations, Demand).
What You'll Do
- Measuring, testing, and reporting on existing deal performance
- Building pitch materials for new deals
- Devising creative and value-add partnership structures
- Sourcing and using relevant data to support partnership negotiations and operations
- Building complex financial models and deal projections
- Collaborating on the development and maintenance of dashboards and reporting
- Assisting with strategic projects and other cross-functional initiatives
What You've Done
- 2-3 years of work experience, ideally in a management consulting, investment banking, or similar finance or strategy role.
- Experience conducting quantitative analysis (including modeling) and qualitative analysis; ability to independently drive data-driven insights and results.
- Excellent proficiency with MS Excel / PowerPoint; experience with Tableau, Hex, and Snowflake is helpful but not required.
- Experience managing or working with senior-level internal or external stakeholders.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, always-changing environment.
- High intellectual curiosity with the courage to challenge the status quo.
- History of high performance in academic and professional settings.

This role will be based in either our New York City, NY, or Los Angeles, CA, office and has a hybrid (3 in-person days per week) work schedule.
The anticipated gross salary range for this position is ($100,000-$200,000). Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
