Summary
The Associate Research Analyst is a critical asset to Ever.Ag’s world-class market intelligence services. This role will actively monitor the global dairy marketplace while retrieving and analyzing key data/trends for use across Ever.Ag publication, risk management, client advisory and consulting businesses. The research analyst will have the opportunity to learn and expand their knowledge of the dairy and food industries by being part of a trusted team engaged by high profile clients across the supply chain, around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Hands-on Market Research, Data Collection and Analysis
- Lead day-to-day market research efforts to stay ahead of key trends affecting the US and international dairy products marketplace.
- Manage the timely collection and entry of relevant dairy market data into Ever.Ag databases. Generate and update data graphs and tables as appropriate.
- Record market insights gleaned from weekly and monthly client conference calls.
- Maintain and update Ever.Ag Dairy 101 educational content. Support buildouts of additional training content as needed.
Client advisory and consulting project support
- Support the development of weekly/monthly market situation and outlook slides for key advisory clients.
- Help manage and address one-off client requests for data and commentary as they arise.
- Conduct research, analysis, and industry interviews to collect relevant market data/insights to support Ever.Ag consulting engagements.
Publication development and support
- Assist in the development process for the monthly Research Report and Forecast Update publications. This includes writing comprehensive market commentaries for the relevant dairy commodity markets and our related outlook positions.
- Assist Senior Writer on retrieving data and building commentary for monthly industry data reports such as global trade trends, US dairy product supply trends and daily/weekly price announcements.
- Provide back-up coverage for publications when other analysts and writers are unavailable.
Ad hoc responsibilities
- As with all positions with the Ever.Ag companies, this position contemplates that beyond the specific expectations of the position the successful candidate will have flexibility to explore opportunities inside the needs of the Ever.Ag companies according to the candidate’s interests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in agribusiness or agricultural economics with a strong academic record
- Experience: Some applicable intern or co-op experience is preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, preferably some experience with R
- Advanced experience in building data charts and graphs
