Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Associate Recruiter to join our talent acquisition team and help drive the first stage of our recruiting process. The Associate Recruiter is responsible for both sourcing talent and building relationships with trade schools to pipeline hourly skilled labor for Perdue Farms. Our ideal candidate is someone who will take charge of exploring various recruitment channels in search of potential top talent, contacting passive candidates, building pipelines for future hiring needs, and collaborating with the local site recruiters to find and attract top talent. Ultimately, they will proactively identify best practices and recruitment strategies to fill vacancies with qualified associates.
The position will be based at Corporate HQ in Salisbury, MD.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate with hiring managers and recruiters to determine position requirements
- Utilize various sourcing tools to identify and connect with potential candidates on job boards, professional networks, social media, Boolean search, etc.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs
- Assist the Technical Talent Acquisition Manager with the development and execution of on-campus recruitment strategies for hourly skilled talent
- Build relationships with university students and personnel, participating in on-campus events such as career fairs, information sessions, lunch and learns, tabling events, etc.
- Promote Perdue’s attendance at upcoming recruitment events and engage with students before, during, and after the event
- Track and measure conversion rates, including numbers of passive candidates who turn into applicants, are invited to interview, receive offers and are hired
- Promote Perdue’s employer brand online and offline
- Maintain candidate databases as needed (e.g., via our Applicant Tracking System)
- Communicate with past applicants regarding new job opportunities
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the sourcing and initial contact process
- Support the Talent Acquisition leaders in strategic hiring initiatives as needed
Minimum Education and Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication or related field of study.
The Ideal Candidate will also have:
- At least 1+ year of proven work experience as a Sourcer, Recruiter or similar role
- Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and Candidate Management Systems
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to positively represent Perdue and our career opportunities to potential candidates
- Effective time-management and ability to prioritize competing demands
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
