JOB SUMMARY
This is an entry-level Quality Engineering role. The Associate Quality Engineer supports development and product teams in designing and implementing test plans. Fosters adoption of Quality Engineering (QE) principles of shift-left, customer-centricity, automation, and continual improvement to advance product development. Collaborate with Quality Engineering teams in the creation of and adoption of automated testing to facilitate innovation, quality, and speed to market. Work as an SDET when engaging with Marriott internal development teams to assist them in moving from waterfall to agile.
This role receives work direction from senior Quality Engineering leaders to deliver projects to successful completion, while maintaining scope within the time and budget constraints. In addition, it is expected that this role provides innovative and creative insights to solutions.

Education and Experience
Required:
Experience in software testing
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification
Preferred:
Technology certifications
Experience in Agile methodologies
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Quality Validation
Collaborates with product team members on QE tasks and procedures
Functions as a working SDET where needed
Assists in setting best practice quality procedures
Reviews and edits product documentation
Drives the adoption of TDD, BDD and related test-first development methodologies
Delivering Technology
Performs quantitative and qualitative analyses for delivering automated testing processes and tools
Implementing tooling such as Tosca, NeoLoad, Cucumber, etc.
Validates solutions with enterprise architecture team
Facilitates achievement of expected deliverables and obligations of Service Providers
Ensures proper coordination with appropriate IT and vendor teams
Assists in the development of process and tooling documentation
Supporting Projects and Following Policies and Best Practices
Assists team on debugging aids available for environments
Prepares testing schedules and documents expected results
Assists in the scheduling and maintenance of lower environments
Assists in the defect management process
Participates in the identification and monitoring of risks and issues

California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $66,560.00 to $134,991.00 annually.
Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $63,150.00 to $122,722.00 annually.
Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $76,410.00 to $134,991.00 annually.
New York Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $63,150.00 to $134,991.00 annually.
Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $67,724.80 to $134,991.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
