Job Description for
Associate Pastor for Family Ministry
•Plan, implement and oversee ministries and activitiesfor families of all ages.
•5 years related experience or a Master of Divinity from a Southern Baptist Seminary
- In coordination with the Church Counsel, develop and promote a comprehensive program of religious education for families of all ages, focusing primarily on young adult families and their children.
- Work closely with adult discipleship leaders overseeing training that leads parents into a biblical study to help them understand their roles and responsibilities as parents to lead their children.
- Exercise independent judgment and initiative in the execution of duties and responsibilities, receiving counsel and suggestions from the Pastor as needed.
- Ensure each ministry program under the Associate Pastor’s domain is appropriately staffed with ministry leaders who are motivated, equipped and capable of connecting regularly and relationally with those under their span of care.
- Plan and coordinate special projects and activities for families, including vacation bible school, mission trips, outings, outreach, hosting activities that reach the community, mission projects and/or summer programs.
- Develop and oversee annual budget needs and expenditures for family ministries.
- Provide training, resources and instruction for ministry leaders and volunteers within the family ministries.
- Maintain relationships and frequent communications with families to identify where needs exist.
- Remain actively involved in church ministries.
- Help build a discipling and evangelizing culture among our families.
- Demonstrate an aptitude and comfort with using social media, the church website, video announcements, and texting to effectively communicate with families of the church
.• Perform other duties as necessary and as assigned by the Pastor.
•Deliver sermons on occasion

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
