Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for a EDC Quality Assurance Investigations (level 2 or 3) based out of Everett, WA to support the QAI (Quality Assurance Investigations) and SIG (Special Investigation Group) Team. Candidate may be selected to work on 1st or 2nd shift.
This team supports all twin isle programs at the Everett Site, working closely with other divisions such as Supplier Quality, Fabrication, and Propulsion Systems. The team works to investigate, manage, and track nonconforming containment activities and processes across BCA. The team extensively uses our production system and tools to provide real time status of all investigations to stakeholders, including executive leadership.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
  • Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations.
  • Applies knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
  • Trains and mentors' fellow employees in the Quality Management System.
  • Performs root cause analysis on the nonconformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrence.
  • Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution.
  • Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes.
  • Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolution.
  • Reviews and validates the corrective action plans and identifies effectivity to ensure completion.
  • Reviews and approves Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes.
  • Guides validation of configuration management, quality procedures and material review policies to deliver the software products.
  • Develops software system processes to support changing industry standards.
  • Reviews and implements corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements.
  • Interprets industry standards and provide recommendations for implementation.
  • Creates analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distribution.
  • Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 2+ years of experience with Quality Assurance or Technical Inspection.
  • 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • 2+ years of experience in a role that required you to analyze and summarize raw data from various sources, and recommend executable action plans.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience writing non-conformance records
  • 3+ years of experience with MS Office Suite
  • 1+ years of experience in a role that required strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
  • 1+ years of experience working with (CMES) Common Manufacturing Execution System
  • 1+ years of experience in working defect reduction strategies within a cross-functional environment
  • 1+ years of experience working with suppliers

Typical Education/Experience:
For Associate (level 2):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).
For Experienced (level 3):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range for Associate: $69,700 - $94,300
Summary pay range for Experienced: $89,250-$120,750
