Essential Job Duties
- Provide legal guidance and support on a wide range of healthcare-related matters, including regulatory compliance and HIPAA-related matters
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts
- Stay up-to-date with healthcare laws and regulations, ensuring organizational compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Assess legal risks and provide strategic advice to mitigate potential liabilities
- Manage outside counsel
- Assist in preparation of board and committee presentations and other materials
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures

Travel Requirements
- Travel 10-25%, including overnight travel
Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- 5+ years’ legal experience, with preference for candidates with healthcare law experience
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Medicaid compliance
- Experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and review
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment (prior experience in a SaaS startup or similar environment preferred)
- Comfortable working independently and communicating with executives and senior management
