This position will primarily be working with the HIV surveillance program in the Office of Epidemiology. As part of a collaborative team, this position will work with intradepartmental and interdepartmental staff on selected projects.
- Identify data resources and collaborate with other organizations to strengthen HIV surveillance, prevention, and response activities.
- Support data quality assurance and management on HIV case and laboratory surveillance data.
- Routine epidemiologic analysis and data dissemination.
- Other duties as assigned related to other reportable conditions.
- Travel in and out of state to support local public health efforts and present research at both local and national levels.
This is an entry-level position responsible for carrying out surveillance, detection, and prevention of HIV. Employees work as a team or project member, under the direction of an epidemiologist.
- A Master's degree in public health (Substitutions may be allowed).
- Knowledge of epidemiologic techniques, methods and surveillance systems
- Proficiency in SAS or other statistical analysis software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
