Good Housekeeping is looking for an organized, versatile Associate Editor to cover a variety of topics including books, pets, health and relationships. You will use your experience in digital content creation to write and/or assign and edit content in these areas and others. The ideal candidate will have experience writing book reviews, possess a roster of book industry contacts and be knowledgeable about book trends and emerging writers. This position reports to our Executive Editor.

Responsibilities:
- Manage Good Housekeeping's robust books coverage including digital book roundups and the GH Bookclub.
- Assign and/or write pets coverage for digital and print
- Write 10+ SEO stories per month on a variety of topics including relationships and health
- Provide digital/SEO editing support as needed
- Assist with special projects and feature packages as needed
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience writing and/or editing
- A basic understanding of SEO, analytics and digital best practices
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple projects at once
- Passionate about books and reading
- Bachelor's degree or higher
The base salary for this role is between $64,000 and $67,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
