Associate Director of Psychological Services

Full-Time

 

$8000 Sign-On Bonus Available

 

The candidate selected will be responsible for the following: The Associate Director will work as part of clinical leadership overseeing training, development, and providing supervision of Master's and doctoral students completing a year-long therapy and diagnostic internships/practicum at SBHS.  The Associate Director will work closely with Director of Psychological Services and other clinical leadership to help provide individual supervision to students.  The Associate Director will also help develop and facilitate group trainings and supervision for students.  In addition to supervision and training for students, the Associate Director will participate in developing clinical programming, training front-line staff, and organizational quality assurance monitoring.  The Associate Director will carry a partial clinical load that will include direct service activities (i.e., providing therapy to patients and conducting psychological assessments).

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:  Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or closely-related field. Experience conducting therapy with adults, children and adolescents, and families.  Experience with crisis stabilization and experience providing clinical supervision is preferred.   Experience and training in conducting psychological evaluations with children, adolescents, and families, including completion of comprehensive psychological reports.  Training in evidenced-based therapy models (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed care, etc.) preferred.  Experience in providing clinical supervision to students or other professionals highly desirable.  Experience working in an acute-care, inpatient psychiatric environment is desirable. 

 

SKILLS:   Excellent time management skills; proficiency in completing therapeutic documentation; strong diagnostic conceptualization and report writing skills; familiarity with the DSM and/or ICD classification system; ability to work with a broad spectrum of other services providers (e.g., psychiatrists, nurses, paraprofessionals); excellent oral communication skills.

 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:  Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations
