Living Legends Health is seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to oversee, develop and supervise admission screeners, admission approvals and coordination of the admissions within the Vestra Care and Absolut portfolio of Living Legends. company's portfolio. Salary range is $86,000 to $92,000 depending on experience.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
The successful candidate will perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
Responsibilities:

  • Director of Admissions will coordinate and oversee the activities of the Admissions Screeners. Evaluate the pre-admission data to determine the ability of facility to meet the needs of the residents
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining open, effective communication between the screeners, facilities, referring public, consumers, physicians, families, discharge planners, and third-party payers to meet and grow the Health Center patient census.
  • Responsible for marketing and maintaining an acceptable census level.
  • Identify actual or potential problems and devises an action plan for resolution.
  • Implement solutions and monitor outcomes using judgment skills to choose the best course of action.
  • Effectively communicate, assist, and cooperate with other personnel and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Review and/or revises the Admissions Procedures to be submitted to Best Practice Committee.
  • Additional responsibilities include fostering relationships in the community, physicians' offices and hospitals that impact the facilities admissions.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality including resident rights and HIPPA statutes.
  • Maintain processes within the facilities to ensure the continuation of communication between departments as they pertain to admits and discharges.
  • Ensure admissions agreement and contracts are signed in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties, as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred: LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or RN with 5 or more years of experience
  • Or 5 or more years of experience in Admissions Department or Business Office in a Long Term Care Facility.
  • Possesses integrity, poise and diplomacy while demonstrating an ability to interact well with a diverse segment of the community.
  • Good judgment coupled with organizational, good written and verbal communication skills.
  • This individual continuously exhibits and fosters a spirit of teamwork, positive attitude and conflict resolution among direct reports.
  • Knowledge of age-specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e., physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in carrying out the admissions process. Exhibits an attitude of helpfulness, team spirit and support to all team members.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Full-Time 40 hours / week may include some evenings or weekends.
