The position is an integral role that bridges Sales Strategy and Consumer Marketing, demonstrating expertise in conducting research and weaving together the results of the disparate sources of data and information to find the key insights to drive the business. This role supports cross-functional stakeholders in Sales Strategy/Category Management, Marketing, Digital Commerce, R&D, and Sales to inform product innovation, base business management, marketing communications strategy, and category growth presentations for our retail customers.

  • Lead all Consumer & Shopper Insights initiatives.

  • Champion consumer and Shopper Insights that unlock brand growth across the portfolio.
  • Conduct and manage research to include qualitative and quantitative studies, running projects end-to-end independently and with suppliers.
  • Source and execute complex research projects with research partners and has the ability to analyze primary research data from cross-tabbing to regressions and report out in storytelling format to address business questions.
  • Elevate the visibility and use of Consumer & Shopper Insights in the decision-making process and consistently communicate results to leadership.

  • Provide insights and identify growth opportunities to impact sales strategy, identifying shopper and omni channel opportunities, with ability to influence innovation & communication.
  • Provide leadership in driving consumer and Shopper Insights that inform field sales initiatives and the successful implementation of commercial KPI’s.
  • Source and synthesize information and data points, translate them into insights to fill the knowledge gap(s).

  • Manage and execute the consumer/shopper research to determine which opportunities have the most potential for the business. Use consumer and marketplace understanding to strengthen ideas.
  • Translate data and information into actionable insights and business recommendations utilizing best in class "story telling" and engaging communication.
  • Provide information from a range of sources to share consumer, shopper, and market trends; brand and customer strategies that help drive successful brand building plans and programs.
  • Help guide the organization on a data-driven and digital transformation journey.

  • Shape the strategy to connect and leverage data and information across the organization to help drive profitable sales and organizational efficiency.
  • Identify and evaluate current and new data/research sources that can help drive the business.
  • Help develop data dashboards that can identify areas of opportunity and inform organizational direction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required. Advanced Degree preferred.
  • Minimum five (5+) years of solid Market Research / Insights experience is required, preferably within CPG industry.
  • Proficient with custom research methods for CPG required, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Experience leveraging syndicated services (Circana/Nielsen and Panel Data).
  • Strong analytical and data skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects and work effectively with multiple teams with proven ability to build effective partnerships with teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate insights with brand strategy and customer/retailer strategy to find the opportunity and grow mutual business.
  • Demonstrated high performance. 8+ years of relevant consumer / market research experience in Quantitative and / or qualitative research. Proven skills in unearthing insights to drive strategy, identify growth opportunities, trends, innovation & advertising development.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills; strong interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships, network, and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence people, including building high levels of trust and commitment.
  • Self-motivated and bias for action.
