Farmingdale State College seeks to hire a full-time Associate Director of Art and Design to join its Office for Marketing and Communications. Reporting to the Senior Director of Brand and Marketing and working with various departments throughout the campus community, the Associate Director will:
- Serve as the lead designer for campus-wide campaign graphics for communications platforms, such as the MyFSC dashboard, social media, event pages and others.
- Manage design and production for campus beautification projects, such as signage, wall art, etc.
- Design, layout and coordinate printing of the FSCNow annual College magazine, including planning and execution of photography, and Design for the FSCNow Microsite.
- Develop creative assets for special projects and College events, including print, web and animated graphics. Will also provide art direction for project-based photography shoots.
The candidate must be detail-oriented, proactive, collaborative and be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously. The Associate Director will be expected to make relevant creative recommendations within FSC's brand platform.

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or related field.
- Minimum of five years professional experience in graphic design .
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft suite.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in related field.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, familiarity with Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Bridge, Microsoft Excel .
- Previous experience in higher education.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time UUP position.
- For the first 10 working days, beginning Tuesday, March 12, 2024, and ending Monday, March 25, 2024, applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale.

- SALARY: $75,000 + $3,087 in downstate location pay = $78,087 Total Compensation. Salary may increase commensurate with experience.
