Description
The Associate Director of Analyticscollaborates with senior staff and subject matter experts in the design and execution of consulting projects. The Associate Director of Analytics leads teams of associates to successful completion of consulting engagement deliverables.
Job Responsibilities
- Assesses and translates clients' needs into research questions.
- Contributes to the development of proposals and budgets for engagements.
- Leads projects teams in the successful delivery of multiple simultaneous consulting engagements from research design to execution.
- Analyzes large datasets using algorithms and statistical programming in Python, R, Stata, or similar statistical software.
- Formulates complex economic, financial, statistical, or behavioral models to analyze data.
- Performs advanced statistical and econometric analyses, or designs consumer behavior surveys.
- Provides guidance on methodologies to junior staff.
- Maintains communication with clients regarding status of deliverables, including delivering succinct presentations of intermediary and final outcomes.
- Develops powerful and persuasive expert reports and excerpts supported by the reliable application of research methods.
- Performs and oversees academic/industry literature research to provide support for the application of methodologies.
- Performs quality control on research performed by consulting staff.
- Supports business development and sales efforts as required.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, Marketing (Market Research), Statistics, Sociology, or similar fields.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of consulting, litigation consulting, or relevant academic experience. Litigation consulting preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years proven managerial or supervisory experience.
- Solid planning, priority setting, and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects and resources concurrently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good at developing relationships.
- Proven experience in research design and execution.
- Excellent knowledge of various statistical and econometric methodologies.
- Strong programming skills with statistical software packages, such as Stata, R, Python or similar. Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
- Ability to display data visually, creating powerful presentations which effectively demonstrate the value of analytic deliverables.
- Highly motivated, collaborative, and innovative.
- Strong technical skills.
