As a member of the Office of People and Culture, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) will work under the leadership of the Chief People and Culture Officer (CPCO), and execute AEF’s people initiatives and projects, deliver great internal team member support, drive HR functional excellence and process improvement, and align business objectives with team members and leadership in designated business units. The HRBP will be assigned and support one or more business units and will be expected to maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, business strategy, plans, and workforce and will be expected to facilitate connections across AEF to achieve business goals.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 4+ years’ experience resolving employee relations issues
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment

- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
