Position Summary
The Associate Director, Academic Services in the Institute for School Partnership will work with teams on the design and execution of curriculum, professional learning and operation for the mySci program. Conduct educational research and design and develop knowledge products for the broader field. Oversee operations to ensure high quality programs, services and communications for all stakeholders.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensures sufficient, efficient and smooth operations, such as systems, procedures, policies, workflow, communication and/or research initiatives.
  • Works with interdisciplinary teams on the design, development and execution of curriculum products, professional learning programs, and kit development and delivery.
  • Designs, implements and evaluates research, projects, programs and/or partnerships.
  • Develops and applies for external funding.
  • Collaborates on disseminating research.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Participates in general departmental activities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of best practices in research-based curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Knowledge of science education field.
  • Knowledge of national educational policy including national and state standards and assessment programs.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Ability to manage workflow, handle multiple tasks and projects, and meet competing deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing data and publishing results.
  • Experience with research practice partnerships and in using the tools and methodologies of Research Practice Partnerships.
  • Experience with research software.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.
  • Flexible and comfortable working in an environment where processes and timelines are fast paced, evolving and changeable.
  • Technological proficiency and adaptability.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of professional experience or Master's degree in related field and three years of professional experience.

G13
Salary Range
$64,700.00 - $110,500.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
