Job Description
We are looking for an Associate Digital Merchandising Manager supporting Marketplace Operations. This role sits within digital and is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the day-to-day operations of Nordstrom Marketplace. This involves managing high tier seller relationships, ensuring efficient supply chain processes (ship on time, cancel rates, Care incident rates), monitoring return inventory levels, resolving operational issues, and implementing strategies to enhance overall Marketplace performance in partnership with category management. We are looking for someone who is a positive self-starter that is not afraid to roll up their sleeves on a growing team, build processes from the ground up, and support strategies post launch to optimize performance.
A day in the life…
- Responsible for coordinating and optimizing the day-to-day operations for top tier sellers on Nordstrom’s Marketplace
- Partner with cross functional category management and leadership teams to share performance insights that inform what sellers need to improve metrics, what opportunities we have as a retailer, and what sellers may be candidates for removal from platform with repeated poor performance
- Develop comprehensive seller education and communication strategy that aligns with Nordstrom’s mission and seller success goals.
- Support strategies and process to measure seller post purchase performance. Including order acceptance rates, on-time ship and delivery rates, refund/return rates, and order escalation response time.
- Partner with cross functional partners including store operations, supply chain, and technology teams to continuously refine our returns process both for customers and sellers. The goal is for quick returns, quick refunds, clear process flows.
- Serve as the liaison between sellers and Nordstrom to understand where pain points exist around process and cost to improve margin outcomes for both Nordstrom and seller.
- Ensure quality, on-time relevant information is in place to ensure transparency and visibility for internal partners
- Build an understanding of the competitive landscape of operations and logistics in a marketplace model to ensure Nordstrom remains at the forefront of delivering positive customer and seller experience.
- Organize and communicate complex information in a clear and straightforward way to drive action.
- View obstacles as opportunities and create simple, sustainable solutions for future success.
You own this if you have…
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency with date-driven decision-making skills and technology systems.
- 5+ years of logistics or operations experience.
- 4+ years of experience working with external partners
- Experience in working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple stakeholders, and possess leadership presence/gravitas
- Strong commitment to success metrics
- Prior experience in retail merchandising strategy as a merchant, seller/brand, or digital merchandiser
- Comfortable with constant change, building and iterating processes regularly
- Prioritizing tasks strategically to capitalize on emerging opportunities and contribute to the overall success of the business
- Experience working in marketplace models a plus

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Washington: $92,000-$155,000 AnnualThis position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
