Associate Design Engineer (Hybrid)

Moog Aircraft Group has an immediate opening for an Associate Design Engineerto join our Design and Development Engineering team. You will help design electromechanical and mechanical components and systems for flight control applications. Reporting to an Engineering manager, you will have a 9/80 work schedule option, along with a hybrid work option in Torrance, CA (3 days/week in the office).

As an Associate Design Engineer, you will:
• Create models and drawings within a CAD environment, along with analysis to support the design.
• Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
• Contribute to the preparation of proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical write ups and reports.
• Help create reliable designs by supporting a comprehensive experimental development test program.
• Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
• Operate as a member in a team of creative, independent individuals, soliciting and being sensitive to design feedback.
• Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its technical reputation.
To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
This job requires access to United States export-controlled information.
It'd be great if you also had:
• Internship experience related to Design Engineering
• Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus
• Proficiency in CAD software

Salary range:
The base pay range for this opportunity is $67,000 - 104,000 per year. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual profit share bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
