Job Overview:
The Client and Government Reporting team comprises of Cost Basis and tax reporting functionalities. The tax reporting component ensures that all Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client tax reporting forms are issued and mailed in an accurate and timely manner. The Cost Basis component is responsible for the receipt, maintenance and delivery of tax lots used to calculate Cost Basis.
The primary role consist of supporting an in-bound call center team dedicated to servicing the needs of service team within LPL. You will support internal service teams with Cost Basis questions and at times, partner with Service professionals on calls with customers. Answering questions from Service Professionals and Advisors will be a high priority in this role. You are also expected to provide subject matter expertise and be solution orientated.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: College degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years or industry experience (preferably financial services) in Operations, Compliance or Risk Management

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate MUST be capable of communicating in a clear and professional tone.
  • Ability to provide multiple solutions that will achieve the same outcome
  • Ability to prioritize when pressured with multiple tasks
  • Highly responsive to coaching & training
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of team
  • Ability to effectively communicate with advisors and other operational groups to resolve various account discrepancies.
  • Must be comfortable relaying policy related information consistently in fast paced situations.
  • Be proactive and remain cognizant of deadlines and regulatory requirements.
  • Recognize issues, problems, or opportunities and determine whether action is required.

Preferences:
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly VISIO, WORD, ACCESS, PowerPoint, and Excel (VBA)
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel - Compiling data, formatting data and spreadsheets, and executing calculations/formulas
  • Experience with BETA and SQL

Pay Range:
$21.58-$32.37/hour
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
