This role will support a variety of initiatives and projects that enhance and/or maintain an operationally strong Chapter Network, thus heightening the NACD member and prospect experience at each of NACD’s chapters.

We are searching for a Chapter Network Associate to fill in for a team member who is going on temporary leave. The Chapter Network Associate will fulfill the following duties:

• In early 2024, train and work part-time alongside the Chapter Communications and Content Associate prior to their departure for 15 hours/week
• Step into a temporary, full-time role estimated to last from early or mid-March to early July
• Transition back to part-time, 10 hours/week for two weeks, to support the Chapter Communications and Content Associate’s transition back to their role

A qualified candidate is exceedingly detailed, efficient, and service oriented. A qualified candidate is capable of juggling multiple priorities independently as well as working closely with the Chapter Network Associate Director, Chapter Content and Communication Associate, and the Chapter Network Team to execute on tasks critical to chapter and organizational success, all while fostering positive relationships with chapter representatives and NACD colleagues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• · Collaborates with the Chapter Network team, including the Vice President of the Chapter Network, as needed to advance the goals of the department, which ladder up to support NACD’s overall mission and strategy of powering directors and transforming boards
• Engages with chapter staff and/or board members across the network of 20+ chapters to address questions and solve problems as they arise (except those related specifically to chapter and member data, which is the main purview the team’s data associate)
• Ensures that chapters’ communication with local NACD members runs smoothly via the maintenance of 22 chapter websites (you do not need to be a webmaster or programmer—just be comfortable with learning new software), publishing chapter events, making edits to chapter websites, as well as supporting any website enhancements or maintenance, as scheduled by NACD’s DTSI (Digital, Technology, Solutions, and Innovation) department
• Works with chapter staff members to ensure that all past chapter programs are finalized in a timely manner, directly contributing to the success of NACD Directorship Certification®
• Supports the execution of monthly virtual meetings for chapter staff by managing meeting invitations, supporting agenda creation, and working “behind the scenes” in the Zoom platform during those meetings
• Partners with the Chapter Content and Communication Associate, regional directors and/or associate director on the maintenance and updates of chapter resources, including content on the Chapter Network Intranet
• Supports the Chapter Content and Communication Associate and the Associate Director of the Chapter Network with a variety of mission-critical projects and initiatives, including preparations for the annual Chapter Staff Retreat
• Other tasks and initiatives as assigned

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of experience in a fast-paced office environment OR equivalent experience is required. A successful candidate will be collaborative, proactive, and forward-thinking and have a strong customer service and results-focused orientation, along with high levels of accountability, attention to detail, and a creative mindset. The candidate will possess the ability to prioritize tasks well and form positive business relationships, have a desire to learn, and exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks with a mindset of strategy and solutions is key. Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Website software and Constant Contact knowledge or proficiency a plus. Membership/contact database, Salesforce/MemberNation experience is a plus.
