The Associate Design Engineer will work closely with the team of designers to create drawings, make updates and monitor progression of the manufacturing of our wheelchairs.

Key Tasks
- Utilize engineering software including EPDM, SolidWorks, SolidWorks Composer, and DriveWorks.
- Maintain workflows and best practices for engineering change management.
- Function in a collaborative environment to support CAD / EPDM integrations with ERP and other enterprise systems.
- Support the use of CAD / EPDM software for view only users in Customer Service and Supply Chain.
- Work with the value added reseller (VAR) to fix issues, develop / enhance current system functions, and coordinate major system changes / upgrades.
- Create and maintain BOMs, structures, and routings across the EPDM and ERP systems.
- Create and manage Engineering Change Orders as part of a cross-functional team.
- Create and maintain product data templates such as part and drawing files.
- Create solid part and assembly models that include machined components, welded tube assemblies, sheet metal assemblies, and molded parts.
- Work at a computer for 8+ hours per day.
- See details of objects and drawings for extended periods of time.
- Maintain professionalism at all levels in the organization.
- Maintain regular attendanceand meet all deadlines.

Your Background
- High school diploma or GED. Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
- Expertise in the functionality of SolidWorks and enterprise-level CAD/EPDM administration; Certified Enterprise PDM
- Administrator Certification (CEPA) a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience required.
- Ability to generate production engineering drawings compliant to ISO GPS and/or ANSI Y14.5-2009 standards.
- High competency with 3D Modeling Software systems (preferably SolidWorks).
- Experience in product design, product development processes, and overall engineering practices is preferred.
- Competence with other software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office).
- Outstanding time management and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
- Basic project management skills; project management certification preferred.
- Ability to work independently; self-starter.
- Strong communication skills.
