Summary
Execute purchasing of equipment, parts, materials and tools required to build and operate LNG or CNG fueling stations or landfill gas processing facilities. Plan requirements, Vettel purchase requests and independently generate purchase orders for warehouse, supply houses and service vehicles as required. Assist in sourcing projects as assigned by management.

Clean Energy pioneered renewable natural gas (RNG) as a vehicle fuel in the U.S. and we continue to be the largest provider of RNG for transportation. We have an extensive network of nearly 600 fueling stations across North America, and can deliver RNG to any station, public or private. Renewable fuel and station infrastructure sales and financing is the focus of the role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist Construction and Operations in compiling information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of materials; keep records of items purchased or transferred between departments, prices, deliveries, and inventories.
Utilize the operating system's MRP module to recommend inventory levels in the central warehouse, remote warehouses and service vehicles.
Adhere to proper buying procedures and controls to ensure strict compliance with procurement contracts and agreements. This will include creating purchase orders and utilizing independent judgement to ensure delivery service level agreements are consistently met.
Review, compare and negotiate prices, specifications, and delivery dates and place orders with existing suppliers and work with Procurement Supervisor to initiate new vendors as needed.
Review supplier's performance in terms of overall cost, delivery and quality criteria.
Assess and recommend inventory spend to realize departmental cost savings initiatives.
Prepare invitation of bid forms and send to the appropriate suppliers in preparation to work with Procurement Supervisor to identify and recommend items and/or vendor changes to support strategic cost savings initiatives.
Manage and create appropriate plans for items that have a long lead time, increasing costs and being affected by supply chain disruptions in order to protect CE's business and ensure continued delivery of supply.
Support the implementation of systems, policies, metrics, and procedures consistent with those of the company to ensure safe, ethical, and effective daily operations.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years of exposure and experience in a warehousing, logistics and/or inventory control environment: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Skills and Abilities Desired
Basic knowledge and experience with the type of items being ordered - station equipment, electrical and mechanical components, piping, and construction materials.
Experience in independently coordinating inventory movement and logistics in support of timely delivery of goods and services.
Excellent analytical skills and Independent Judgement
Robust attention to detail and a track record of accuracy.
The ability to handle multiple priorities and to work in a fast-paced environment, while at the same time Utilizing discretion and judgement.
Strong and effective communication and documentation skills with the ability to work across departments and levels.
The ability to work with autonomy and as part of the team and perform under deadline pressure.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, vendors and internal company personnel.

Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as algebra and probability. Ability to independently apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to recommend various solutions to challenges encountered in normal day-to-day activities.
Computer Skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and strong Excel skills. Microsoft D365 ERP software experience preferred.
