Shields Auto Center is a family-owned Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram franchise dealer in Rantoul, Illinois. We sell new vehicles in addition to a wide selection of quality pre-owned cars, trucks, vans, and SUV's. We moved into a brand new, state of the art facility in November of 2019.

Shields Auto Center is looking to fill a Parts Counter Consultant position. This individual will be responsible for assisting with the day to day activities of the Parts Department and providing prompt and effective customer service to our customers in a professional manner.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Must be able to provide quality customer service
• Must be able to efficiently and effectively multi-task, while working in a fast-paced environment
• Must have strong communication skills, especially with customers and serve as a liaison between technicians and the parts department
• Must have basic computer, email, and internet proficiency
• Must be professional and work well with others
• Must have strong work ethic and attendance
• Must have a have a valid Drivers License
• Previous Automotive Parts Department experience is ideal, but not required

Job Responsibilities

• Assist customers with parts questions, price quotes and the purchase of parts at the Parts Counter and over the phone
• Assist staff with parts questions and price quotes
• Assist in Ordering and Maintaining Parts Department inventory
• Assist with parts shipping and receiving
• Assist with pick up and/or delivery of parts, as needed
• Other Duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, walking, standing, kneeling, pushing, pulling.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Automotive Parts Department: 1 year (Preferred)
• Dealership: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
