Job Description
Associate attorney will handle defense work in all phases of federal and state civil rights litigation, including responsive pleadings to complaints, written and oral discovery, motions for summary judgment, trial preparation and trial and/or trial assistance and appeals. The research-intensive motions practice requires a comprehensive understanding and application of evolving civil rights law, and attorneys must engage in extensive communications with clients, percipient witnesses, and expert witnesses.
Qualifications
1-5 years experience
Trial experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with Section 1983 preferred, but not required.
High academic credentials; strong research and writing skills; familiarity with federal and state litigation rules.
