Associate Attorney - Family Law

Description:

We are seeking an eager and motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. The right candidate will demonstrate strong oral and written advocacy skills, an eagerness to learn and grow as an attorney, and a passion for client service. Prior experience in Family Law or criminal defense is preferred, but not necessary. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of Family Law matters from consultation through resolution.
• Represent clients in various hearings including motions, mediations, and trials.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Provide thoughtful, strategic, and sound legal advice and counsel to clients.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Provide case support to partners, including legal research and covering court appearances as needed.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Oregon State Bar.
• Two years' experience in Family Law or criminal defense preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication and advocacy skills, and a willingness to litigate, is essential.
• Experience in court strongly preferred.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality legal representation to clients.
