Associate Attorney (Employment Law)

Justice for Workers, P.C. is a rapidly growing plaintiff-side Employment Law firm based in Los Angeles, specializing in individual FEHA/wrongful termination claims and wage and hour class/PAGA actions. We are seeking a full-time litigation associate, with 1 to 5 years of experience in civil litigation (preferably employment litigation), to work in our FEHA/wrongful termination practice group. The associate will represent victims of unlawful workplace discrimination, harassment, and other violations of California Employment Laws.

The position comes with highly competitive compensation and benefits package and hybrid remote work. Salary is commensurate with experience, between $140,000 to $185,000. We share the firm's successes with associates in the form of mid-year and year-end performance bonuses. Salary:

• $140,000 - $185,000 per year + performance bonuses

Qualifications:

• 1 to 5 years of experience in civil litigation. Experience in employment litigation is preferred but not required;
• Licensed to practice law in the State of California;
• Experience with written discovery in both state and federal court is preferred;
• Experience making court appearances, handling depositions, pretrial motions, and litigation work from inception to settlement/verdict is preferred;
• Experience drafting various pleadings and complex motions is preferred;
• Able to work independently as well as a team player;
• Effective negotiating skills in mediation and against defense counsel;
• Strong work ethic, professionalism and positive attitude; and
• Strong academic credentials
