POSITION SUMMARY
As an Associate Treasury Analyst on the Alaska Communications Finance team, this position is responsible for translating data into information critical for business operations including: gathering information from multiple internal and external sources; developing and updating spreadsheets and other supporting data; completing analyses; and ensuring departmental functions are completed timely and accurately in order to comply with multiple compliance and legal obligations. A strong emphasis will be placed on operational refinement and LEAN opportunities.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Work on projects with varying scope, complexity, and impact to the organization.
• Deliver analyses that promote understanding of mildly complex issues related to Treasury, Cash Control and/or Billing Operations.
• Research, compile, and prepare reports, correspondence, notifications, and other information required by management.
• Develop or update procedures, policies and standards.
• Serve as a resource for internal customers by researching and answering questions.
• Stage payments via electronic banking and provide audit related selections.
• Perform payment related testing, reporting and Sox controls.
• Administer the corporate card program by issuing cards, filing approval documents, and analyzing card use for appropriateness.
• Maintain signature authority matrix document, file approvals, and respond to related audit request.
• Analyze bank analysis fees to detect billing errors and minimize costs.
• Perform vendor maintenance in ERP to support accurate taxing and payment of payables.
• Develop an approach, perform analysis and complete delivery of results associated with special projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Associate degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent education, experience and training may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year for year basis.
PLUS
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a financial position.
Computer Skills: Demonstrated proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Other Requirements: Experience in accounting systems. Experience in banking, cash management, accounts receivable/payables or payroll is preferred.
